This set of textbooks has been prepared for the use of foreigners involved in a short-term course in Chinese language, especially for those English-speaking businessmen working in China. Based on actual situations frequently confronted by foreigners living in China, the texts emphasize the communicative ability of the Chinese language. Instead of Chinese characters, pinyin has been used, aiming to improve the students' listening and speaking abilities. The students will find the book a speedy approach to Chinese language and will be able to carry out daily conversations after finishing the set.
