Research on Chinese International Education across Both Sides of the Taiwan Straits collects papers written by teachers of Beijing Language and Culture University and Taiwan colleges and universities. It includes 60 papers, including discussions about the theory and practice of Chinese international education, research on language acquisition, teaching of Chinese language elements and culture elements, teaching of Chinese language skills and the textbook and teaching styles, teaching administration and evaluation studies. Professor Zhang Wangxi, supervisor of PhD candidates of Beijing Language and Culture University, focuses his research on modern Chinese syntax, lexicology and Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL). He is now director of the Department of Chinese International Education, Beijing Language and Culture University.
Dr. Marvin Ho, Board Chairman of Taipei Language Institute (TLI), is a famous linguist and educator in Chinese language teaching.
