He published more than 10 works, including Children’s Language Development, Explorations on the Systematic Acquisition of Han Ethnic Group Children’s Interrogative Sentences (co-authored), Language Understanding and Occurrence (co-authored), Studies on the Quantity and Scope of Chinese Language, Grammatical Studies, Language Learning and Education, Studies on Chinese Language Planning, Continuation of the Studies on Chinese Language Planning. Prof. Li also published more than 380 papers.
